ZIGGY RAMO ‘A To Z’ Tour
Touted by triple j Unearthed as "One To Watch" in 2017, this West Australian hip hop artist Ziggy Ramo is already making serious waves. Championed by Briggs and Remi, influenced by Common and Mos Def, he blends laid-back old school production with a smart, silky flow to dazzling effect.
Following a trip to LA late last year, working with a range of artists including Kehlani, Ziggy Ramo releases his latest upbeat single 'A to Z'. "The story of this track began when I had a big studio session booked around a year ago. What I didn't realise at the time was that it landed on the day that I first met my partner and I had double booked our anniversary (because I'm useless). It turned out that since my partner is apparently the most understanding and supportive person on earth, she insisted that the session was more important and that I keep the booking. Once I got into the writing room all I could think about was love and how important our relationships are - and when you're not concerned with one special day because every day is special. I suppose this song is about how powerful it is when someone lets you into their world, where you share everything from A to Z.
It's also about how writing a love song can be a pretty good substitute for flowers when you're broke and need to make an apology!"- Ziggy Ramo
Ziggy will be showcasing new material onstage at intimate venues around the country ahead of his appearance on Splendour in the Grass later in the year.
"Ziggy's going straight to the jugular... He's not saying shit you don't know. He's telling you stuff you know, and if you feel weird about that, that's on you." - Remi
"My new favourite rapper" - Kehlani
