WHIPLASH FESTIVAL "IV" TOUR - SYDNEY SHOW

Last year we vowed to make Whiplash bigger and better in 2012 so as promised we bring you what's sure to be one hell of a show stopping, ear crushing, fist pumping, heavy as &^%@ indoor festival.

Headlining this year we are proud to bring to the eastern shores of Australia; Denmark's very own mind bending, sonic altering, genre bending and soul destroying export, MNEMIC.

Previously name as one of Metallica's favourite bands and having previously been described as a fusion between metalcore, melodic death metal, industrial metal, progressive metal with hinted elements of thrash and groove metal - Mnemic form a style all on their own that only the band themselves can describe as "Future Fusion Metal."

Having hit the Top 100 Charts with the worldly infamous album The Audio Injected Soul and played with some of the biggest names in music such as : Metallica, Deftones, Machine Head, Meshuggah, Arch Enemy, All That Remains, Fear Factory, The Haunted, Soilwork and God Forbid.

Joining MNEMIC on the stage this year will be Brazilian's very own underground blackened death metal devil's UNEARTHLY. Their appearance on Whiplash will come fresh after their upcoming tour to Eastern Europe namely Russia, Slovakia, Moldova and Romania as well as quick stopover to India's very own Metal Mayhem:Open Air and South East Asian tour.

This year, Unearthly, have played alongside some of the world's most renowned metal acts including : Decapitated, Hate, Aborted, and many more.

Australia's Main Support comes from DAWN HEIST who have a big year ahead of them - a slot on one of Asia's biggest metal festivals; HAMMERSONIC and will be playing alongside Nile, Psycroptic & Suffocation (to name a few) which will follow with a european tour via their Management THE FLAMING ARTS before embarking on the Whiplash Tour.

Like a drug in your veins - Dawn Heist will infect you with their melodic brand of electronic groove metal.

Following DAWN HEIST to every show will be a roster of Australia's very best metal acts. Those rostered on for this year's tour include Queensland's very own LYNCHMADA (fresh off their tour alongside the Cavalera Conspiracy), monumental prog-black metal act KATABASIS, Perth's own DEVOUR THE MARTYR (fresh off yet another national tour), Melbourne's hardcore metal veterans SCAR THE SURFACE, sydney's very own experimental geek metal trio KUNVUK & finally instrumental metal trio PRESCIENT.

With local supports from a plethora of the very best in NSW (& perhaps the countries) metal acts including : Norse, Our Last Enemy, Rise of Avernus, Deprivation, War Faction, As Silence Breaks, Red Bee, Syko Sapian, Modern Murder, My City Screams + 1 More TBA.
