Naarm post-punk act PINCH POINTS return to cities up the east coast to bring their high-energy live show to 6 venues this June, ahead of their second EU/UK tour commencing in July.

PINCH POINTS’ sophomore album PROCESS was released by Mistletone, Exploding in Sound (US), and Erste Theke Tontraeger (EU) in 2022 and was awarded Music Victoria’s ‘Best Punk/Rock Work’. Following a tour of regional VIC, an EU/UK tour in July/August, and supporting IDLES for their sold-out Australian tour in 2022, PINCH POINTS will be playing their first headline shows in NSW and QLD since 2019, as well as returning to Northcote Social Club for a hometown show. The band will bring their spiky, urgent brand of riff-heavy post-punk to the stage, which merges protest music with party music into a barbed-wire coil of sound that’s as loose and springy as it is dangerously serrated.

PINCH POINTS burst forth from the Melbourne underground with their 2018 debut EP MECHANICAL INJURY, which was one of four Australian releases included in Bandcamp's 'Best 100 releases of 2018’. Soon after they released their debut LP MOVING PARTS, and were hailed by Double J as “the sharpest new band in the country” and Music Victoria’s Best Breakthrough Act of 2020.

Their second LP PROCESS was recorded with Anna Laverty (Courtney Barnett, Nick Cave, The Peep Tempel). The album was met with initial praise by NME and The Guardian, and scored album of the week at 2SER, 4ZZZ, Three D, and Edge Radio. It was included in NME's best 25 Australian albums of the year and was nominated for the Australia Music Prize.

The band will also be launching something special on this tour, so keep an eye out for more info to come.
