LEX LUGER WITH KINO BEATS: LEX LUGER TYPE BEAT TOUR WORKSHOP

Hip hop super producer Lex Luger is headed to Australia for the first time this November, performing tracks from his game-changing catalog for a series of explosive shows. 

Luger's influence has been cemented in the hip hop lexicon as one of the genre’s premier beatmakers. As the co-founder of 808 Mafia alongside Atlanta producer Southside, and winner of BET Hip Hop Awards 2011 Producer of the Year, he's made breakout tracks for Waka Flocka (Hard In The Paint, Grove St. Party), Rick Ross (B.M.F., MC Hammer), and the colossal Kanye West & Jay-Z track "H.A.M." off Watch The Throne. In addition to working with Three 6 Mafia kingpin Juicy J on his Rubba Band Business projects, Luger has also produced tracks for some of the biggest names in the game including Gucci Mane, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Chief Keef, Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz and many more.

Recognised by his trademark sound of ominous strings, frantic synthesisers, trunk rattling 808's and rolling hi-hats and snares, Luger's aggressive yet minimalist production revitalised the southern rap sound, and played a vital role in the convergence of the hip hop and electronic music scenes. Lex Luger and Canadian DJ/producer A-Trak joined forces under the moniker Low Pros and released an EP through Fool's Gold Records, which mixed Luger's massive trap sound with A-Trak's bouncy electronica. The project features Young Thug, Peewee Longway, as well as Travis Scott, A$AP Ferg and Cash Money legend Juvenile.

Accompanying Lex Luger is the Virginia native Kino Beats. Gaining popularity from producing for the likes of A$AP Rocky & Pharrell, (Hear Me), Juelz Santana & Wiz Khalifa, (Everything is Good), and Jeezy (Talk That), Kino also became the tour DJ for OG Maco. Having traveled and DJ’ed in over 50+ countries, performing at events such as the OutLook Festival in Pula, Croatia, Laundry Day Festival in Antwerp, Belgium, and the Ayo! Hip Hop Festival in Shanghai, China, Kino Beats has become respected in the festival world, and known for his high-energy performances and crowd participation.
