After taking some time to raise their glasses to ex girlfriends, failed endeavours and dodging all that life had to throw at them, the boys from Jones the Cat are back, bigger, better (and bitter) than ever.

Following the release of their debut EP, Paste On Smile last year, the punk four-piece from Newcastle have just dropped their latest single their latest single, "Bitter Prick" and are heading out on the road to celebrate. Once again, bringing their unique branch of sound to the masses.

"Bitter Prick" is an angsty onslaught of both desperation and realization and sees the band pay homage to the beauty and pace of lyrical complexities, setting them apart from their counterparts. There's an every day nonchalance to front man Jack's voice, really hammering home the overall essence of the fury and frustration of the mundane.

As classically trained musicians, Jones the Cat are far from punk purists. Rather the outfit push the value of musicianship into the mainstream and flood the world with feeling. Their live show is a sweaty fist full of calculated chaos and one absolutely not to be missed.
