ASTRAL PEOPLE & PENNY DROP Present
COLLARBONES & WORLD’S END PRESS
Astral People are proud to announce an ambitious collective tour as Melbourne dancefloor princes WORLDS END PRESS join Sydney/Adelaide internet duo COLLARBONES for a night of east coast dance and cross-city electronics.
Worlds End Press (Melbourne)
Dons of Disco and Provokers of the Provocative, Melbourne's Worlds End Press are emerging from the studio to reclaim a hold on Australian dancefloors.
Earlier this year the band released the utterly infectious avant-pop gem Second Day Uptown (produced by Cut Copy's Dan Whitford) whilst recording their debut album with Tim Goldsworthy (UNKLE/LCD Soundsystem) in Wales and Massive Attack Studios in Bristol. Performing at the likes of Splendor in the Grass, Falls Festival, Laneway, Golden Plains, Southbound and the St. Kilda festival, World End Press are proving as one of the unmissable tour experiences of the year.
Spiritual successors to as much The Dream as Shaquille O'neal, Collarbones' distorted interpretations of RnB and love ballads take a stripped back approach for constant intrigue. After releasing their 2011 debut album 'Iconography', the Sydney-Adelaide virtual duo just released a follow up 'Die Young' to much acclaim - including the Triple-J favored single 'Hypothermia'.
With a live performance that somehow blends covers of Justin Bieber and Gucci Mane with Holographic Sunglasses and some pretty-brave stage diving, prepare to open your ears and your mind.
These two rising stars of Australia will be touring the east coast of Australia on the unmissable audio trip of the times.
