Launching a BRAVE OLD WORLD - strap in for the ride!

Bronwyn's third release since 'On The Bones of Love' (2015) and 'Against The Tide' (2017), this album was written and arranged with her band in mind for every song. The album was recorded in one day in her rehearsal studio, then some guitar layers, vocals and harmonica added in separate sessions. Most of these songs were written over a three week period in the winter of 2018 as part of a ‘20 songs in 20 days’ challenge. Like many women at that time, it came as a surprise that there were a few #metoo memories to exorcise. Then there's lots of falling and flying, a little remorse, some grief, a little cheek and plenty of capture and release. These tunes, three other new ones, a grieving song and a reprise of Crooked Tree, make up the fourteen tracks of Brave Old World. Not exactly a linear journey, a reflection of a world of choices and consequences leading to the present. Come, listen. Enjoy the ride.
