BAKOOMBA - Nine piece powerhouse fusion

Brace yourselves for the mighty Bakoomba as they charge full force merging their blistering blend of Afrobeat - Reggae - Funk and Afro-Jazz, lead by charismatic frontman, Mr Fode Mane from Senegal.
Chosen to perform at multiple leading Australian Festivals, Venues and Events such as Vivid Sydney (2016 and 2018), The Basement and supporting International Artists such as Maxi Priest (UK) and Katchafire (NZ). Bakoomba is a collective of nine talented musicians consisting of a hard-driving rhythm section, slick horns and sassy female vocals covered in a layer of tasty percussion.
Experience their unique and adventurous style - Tight, dynamic arrangements and killer solos that build into a powerful wall of solid Fusion grooves.

Fode spent twenty years travelling the globe as an artist before calling Australia home - which includes being a principal performer in Senegal's leading dance and percussion troupe Bakalama. His passion and intensity for music and dance is projected throughout each performance. He named the band "Bakoomba" which is a sacred meeting place close to his heart in Senegal. A space where men and women gather to dance under the stars together and fall in love.

He is joined on stage by a group of established musicians who have been performing, recording and teaching for years. They have played at Major Australian Festivals and iconic venues such as Blues and Roots Festival Byron Bay, Peats Ridge Festival, The Great Escape,The Sydney Opera House, The State Theatre, The Basement Sydney and many more......as well as sharing the stage with artists such as The Wailers, Michael Franti etc.

Bakoomba deliver one of the most high energy, interactive stage shows that has captivated crowds and had everyone up on their feet in a dancing frenzy wherever they go.

Delicious home style cooked dinners and desserts are available for purchase. The Rhythm Hut is fully licensed with assorted beers, wines and ciders, and a range of non alcoholic drinks including locally made Kombucha Zest. Under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
