When people like Kirk Hammett and Rob Flynn cite your band as favourites, you know youre onto a good thing. And for Oakland, Californias ALL SHALL PERISH that is precisely the case. With new album This Is Where It Ends newly unleashed on the world, the Californian quintet is set to hit Australia for the second time this November and December. The ten-date tour will hit most of the major cities across the country from Perth to Brisbane for a round of shows that will see the seething masses decimated by the face melting technical metal that marks All Shall Perish as one of deathcore's leaders. Joining them around the country will be Sydneys purveyors of brutality, RESIST THE THOUGHT. Having blasted onto the Bay Area scene in 2002, All Shall Perish got their chops from playing every kind of show imaginable. After a tonne of DIY touring (with everyone from Bleeding Through to Dying Foetus, from Suicide Silence to Terror) and signing an international deal with Nuclear Blast, the band have hit their peak with album number four, This Is Where It Ends. More than ever, All Shall Perish have their trademark technical riffs and crushing rhythms, with raw energy and groove, marking this album as their best yet. Sydneys Resist The Thought have made a huge name for themselves since their formation in 2007. Having toured with some of the best known local and international acts, they have built themselves a reputation for bringing an onslaught of brutality to their live shows. As their 2010 debut album, Damnation, demonstrates, the same holds true for their recorded output, melding bone-crushing breakdowns with fast, technical riffs. Without a doubt, this tour brings together two bands that are marking a path for the future of technical death metal, and if you arent paying attention youll blink and miss it.
