A Percussive blend of jazz, funk and soul. Influenced by the infectious afro-beat music of West Africa, Lamine Sonko & The African Intelligence delivers powerful contemporary African Sound and Vibration to the Australian music scene.

African Intelligence is a 10 piece ensemble led by Lamine Sonko, sharing with you a musical report from the roots of afrobeat, reggae and salsa. From funky baselines and swift guitar riffs to the smooth groove of a message with meaning, here is a band that has it all!

With an energetic and colorful line up of Australia's finest world musicians, this band charms and engages its audiences from start to finish with their own fusion of contemporary and traditional African rhythms. It's exhilarating, it's infectious, it dares you dance!

CUMBIA MASSIVE is a sound system DJ crew celebrating the tropical dancefloor grooves that get adapted with new generations and artists, especially the irresistible dancefloor beat originating on Colombia's Caribbean Coast: Cumbia! Inspired by the renowned Mexican sound system DJs who have been travelling across the Caribbean and Latin America for several decades to remix and edit classic tunes and become famous for their record collections, CUMBIA MASSIVE is doing the same for the digital generation and travelling further afield to also include the latest club hits from Africa, dubplates and live guests on percussion and the mic.  Exclusive for this Leaps & Bounds Festival, CUMBIA MASSIVE has invited Saca La Mois DJ!! (Cumbia Cosmonauts) to perform with Lamine Sonko and special suprise guests to keep the dancefloor shakin'!
