Legendary genre-bending DIY punk band The Taxpayers are on their Australian Tour!
The Tapayers are a long-running experimental DIY genre-bending punk band that started in Portland, Oregon in 2007. After an eight year hiatus, The Taxpayers have made a dream comeback in 2024, selling out shows all across the USA and Canada, and seeing their spotify stats jump from 500k monthly listeners to 1mil. They will top off this stellar year with their first ever international tour, to Australia.
Their acclaimed 2012 concept album about the rise and fall of a fictional baseball player, "God, Forgive These Bastards" was widely considered one of the best albums of the year, it features the song "I Love You Like An Alcoholic" and was even turned into a musical stage production.
Joining them in Adelaide/Tartanya are local acts;
the fun and lively punk-rock sounds of St Judes, who have been busy playing with the likes of Strung Out and The Exploited.
and Brendan Hill, the person behind the 'Get Folked Punk - Adelaide' showcase series, who will open with a solo acoustic set.
