The Ellis Collective were instantly earmarked after finding their way into festival programs a short 6 months after their first gig in 2007: "The pick of the National Folk Festival I was blown away" - BMA Magazine.

The Ellis Collective inhabits a unique niche, fusing traditional acoustic roots sensibilities with modern urban grit.  Often compared to other seminal Australian storytellers such as Tim Rogers, Paul Kelly and John Schumann, The Ellis Collective delivers a uniquely Australian brand of lyrical intensity.  If you follow the trail of breakfast beers, black coffee, cigarettes, broken teeth, busted dreams, confessionals, apologies, simple tunes and soft harmonies, it will take you to the place where they make music.

Chris Gillespie & The Wandering Hands have fast become the darlings of the national folk and roots scene.  With standout performances in 2008 at the Blue Mountains Music Festival and the National Folk Festival, Gillespie style has won over audiences with both its honesty and simplicity.  “A fingerpickin, harmonica playing troubadour… Sydney's answer to Bob Dylan" - Dave Regos FBi Radio.

Leroy Lee is somewhat of a fixture at The Vanguard. A favourite at the regular tribute shows, he also possesses a stunning repertoire of originals that highlight his rare ability to blend virtuosity of the guitar with jaw-dropping songwriting.  Winner of the JJJ Unearthed Competition in 2007, Leroy has played alongside Australia’s greatest including Lior and Missy Higgins and is fresh off a run of Industry showcase shows in Los Angeles.
