Legendary rockers The Angels are delving into their back catalogue for a special run of shows in 2015, aptly titled the A - Z Tour. After announcing the first leg of the tour earlier in the year, the response has been so overwhelming that the band have already added a string of additional dates that will keep them busy on the road for the second half of the year. As the title suggests, the band have dug out 26 tracks, one for each letter of the alphabet, and will be playing them back-to-back.

After announcing the first leg of the tour, which featured a full month of tour dates throughout May, the band were amazed by the support of fans from elsewhere around Australia, and decided to continue the tour in the second half of 2015. "A-Z is a blast," says John. "It's great to be able to play so many songs that we are often asked to play but haven't been able to fit them in. We've tried it, we like it and we look forward to taking it on the road for the second round after our gigs overseas in London, Paris and Sweden. After all those shows with Billy Idol and Cheap Trick, the band is on fire!"

With a raft of hits to their name, this is a rare opportunity for music fans to hear some of the biggest hits, mixed with some classic rarities and of course, all the crowd favourites. The A - Z Tour show runs over two and a half hours. It's The Angels from start to finish, in the finest form and rocking as hard as ever. In something a bit different, the band has recorded on analogue tape a new version of their classic Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again to launch the show, with a b-side of the ZZ Top hit La Grange to wrap-up the night. The recording will be released as a limited edition 7" 45 vinyl record, as well as a CD version, to coincide with the tour and available only at the gigs.

The A - Z Tour has been created due to popular demand. Music fans want to hear the hits, the rare tracks and the crowd pleasers and the 26 track show satisfies that. There is even a throw out to the crowd in 'Q' (question time) for the audience to pick their favourite track. Other classic Angels songs on the setlist include Take A Long Line, No Exit, After The Rain, Marseille, Shadowboxer, No Secrets, Face the Day and more. It's certainly going to be a memorable night of Angels rock!

The band launched the A - Z Tour in February with a couple of packed house shows at The Bridge Hotel in Sydney. "The vibe in the room on the first two nights at The Bridge was electric," says Rick Brewster. "It was full of hardcore fans who sang along with every word and the band was on fire! We can't wait to take this show to the rest of the country."

John Brewster says the launch shows saw the band play for two and a half hours. "The band played great, Gleeso was amazing having 28 songs in his head and getting it right," he says. "The audience response was fantastic. The show was conceived because we want to play songs to our fans that we haven't played for some time. A - Z seemed like a way to play 26 songs, plus encores, covering all bases, including some songs from our latest album Talk The Talk."

The last 12-months featured huge musical milestones for The Angels, first with the release of their studio album of all new material Talk The Talk, and then their sell-out 40th Anniversary Tour, which took them to all corners of Australia. One thing was clear with the 2014 tours, Australian music fans love The Angels and can't get enough of their rockin' live shows. Already 2015 is shaping up to be another huge year, with the band already having joined the popular Red Hot Summer Tour in January, as well performing on the Day on the Green bill with international acts Billy Idol and Cheap Trick in Australia and New Zealand, and an overseas tour mid-year that will see them perform at The Garage in London, Le Forum in Paris and at the iconic Sweden Rock Festival.

Tickets to the A-Z Tour are on sale now.

The Angels are Dave Gleeson [vocals], Rick Brewster [lead guitar], John Brewster [rhythm guitar], Sam Brewster [bass] and Nick Norton [drums].
