Downstairs at The Chippo on Saturday 18 May is one you won't want to miss. Recently under new management, The Chippo is re-establishing itself as one of Sydney's key independent music venues, and the basement has recently seen the likes of Anthony Pappa and Ian Pooley grace the decks. 

People Like Us is a new collective with a clear intention to carve their own niche in Sydney's thriving music scene, where impeccable music is a given and high production values pervade. After years of playing to their friends at countless parties, it's now time to take things to the next level. 

All of the DJs are classically trained musicians, and each have a strong dual emphasis on melody and groove. Funky Carl kicks things off with his trademark house and disco, deeper,setting the stage for Bhavani Baumann to join him on vocals for a guest spot.Doug Loch will round things out, blending deep, organic and progressive house, including a few originals.
