Matt Gresham 'Who Am I Now Tour' With Special Guests
Who Am I Now? - In the beginning there was a feeling of dissatisfaction, although Matt Gresham's life was at an all-time high, living in a surfing paradise in south western Australia being able to pursue his second passion of skateboarding, as well as receiving his first music successes of being awarded "Song Of The Year" by the WAMAs (West Australian Music Award). Actually, it was perfect for the 29 year old. But that's where the feeling of dissatisfaction stemmed: Matt Gresham felt trapped in paradise - "I have to get out of here. I want to grow! See new things!"
With a one-way ticket and his acoustic guitar, he explored the US, Asia and Europe. He spent days, sometimes weeks, even months in the same country. As a warm-hearted and open-minded person Matt Gresham has experienced a lot. Thanks to his debut album, we can now participate in it. In August, Who am I Now will be his musical travelogue, full of self-reflection and insightful songs.
"I have experienced orchestral music in Europe, Electro in Berlin, hip-hop music in New York ..." These influences can also be found on Who Am I Now, an impressively eclectic singer-songwriter album featuring a combination of all of these genres "Hop, Soul and Electronica are just as obvious as samples from stations, or sound scraps of conversations with friends."
The past few years Matt Gresham has been travelling the world, living and filming music videos in Berlin and opening his own concerts at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg with "Moin, Moin!". In October 2018 he will tour Australia's East Coast and bring his album Who Am I Now to Australian fans.
