The Vanguard presents
Maia Toakley ‘Paralysed’ single launch (FINAL TIX)
Maia Toakley has made noise for the neighbours her whole life. This time, however, she is more than ready to belt out her songs on stage at her debut headline show. She is no stranger to playing live but this will be the first time her well-crafted songs will be performed alongside a band.
Celebrating the release of her captivating folk-rock single ‘Paralysed’, Maia is ready to establish herself as one of Sydney’s most promising new acts. Maia’s songs are intimate but give the audience that real chorus they’re looking for, all whilst delivering them with a voice one can trust.
“Paralysed was and is a feeling I often encounter. However, this song was written in a time of clarity. A moment of self-empowerment where I refused to be overawed or let doubt immobilise me any longer.”
Produced by the talented Dylan Adams (DMA’s, Skeggs, Clews), the compelling track is elevated with alluring guitars and powerful drums, but ultimately lets the addictive raw vocals shine through.
This is an 18+ event.
Do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
