Brought together by a broken washing machine, Lizzie Jack and the Beanstalks are a four-piece indie rock band from Wollongong and the south coast.

Fronted by Lizzie Jack, the Beanstalks produce a hybrid between folk-style storytelling and garage rock described by The Music Producer as ‘Courtney Barnett t-boning Joan Jett while both singing Dolly Parton’. If you like Ruby Fields, Alex Lahey, Maddy Jane or Eliza and the Delusionals, then the Beanstalks are one to add to your rotation.

The four-piece have come a long way since forming in 2019, steadily becoming one of the staple local acts in Wollongong and making an impression in Sydney. They have played alongside some notable artists, opening for Gooch Palms at the 2019 Yours and Owls Afterparty and supporting Melbourne outfit MID CITY on their EP tour.

Their live show presence has not gone unnoticed, headlining sell-out shows across the Illawarra from Thirroul to Port Kembla and taking out the top spot in the 2021 UOW Band Comp to secure a place at Yours and Owls Festival 2022.

Their latest single ‘PYRAMID SCHEME’ reached number 2 on the triple j unearthed Punk charts, number 12 for Rock, 16 for Indie and 34 overall.

The Beanstalks are keen to jump back in the studio to release some brand-new nostalgia-fuelled anthems to soundtrack your summer.
