Ten years on from its release, Eskimo Joe’s classic second album ‘A Song Is A City’ has given lead singer Kav Temperley the inspiration to share the stories from the album on an intimate and extensive solo acoustic tour throughout Australia from July to September.

Tickets for the 'A Song Is A City' Tour are on sale on at 9am on Thursday June 19 - from www.kavtemperley.com.au or from the venue. Every person who buys a ticket will get an EP on arrival at the gig, featuring a selection of cover songs Kav has recorded which influenced 'A Song Is A City'.

Of the tour, Temperley said, "10 years ago we wrote and released an album called A Song Is A City - it was turning point for myself both personally and musically. I love it how the whole album works on just an acoustic guitar, and there are so many stories that now, from a safe distance, I'm ready to tell".

'A Song Is A City' was the breakthrough album for the multiple ARIA Award winning Eskimo Joe, taking the Fremantle based band to the #2 position on the ARIA Album chart and reaching sales of more than double platinum. At the time of its release, Temperley described 'A Song Is A City' as:

The whole album is really about me, my friends, the people I love, and Fremantle. It's the stories that go on between us.

Now Temperley will be sharing those stories on stage to celebrate the 10 year anniversary, both in song and as a story-teller. In addition to performing the hit songs from the album such as 'From The Sea', 'Smoke', 'Older Than You' and 'Life Is Better With You' that made the band a household name, Temperley will discuss with the audience the stories that influenced the songs. He will also play covers of some songs that influenced the album.
