Astral People are thrilled to invite you for an evening with Detroit DJ and legendary Techno-pioneer Juan Atkins. An integral member of the very bedrock of Techno, Atkins' influence on the past thirty years of electronic music is truly immeasurable.

His earliest musical venture, the definitive 'Cybotron' gave way to classics including the much-sampled Clear and Cosmic Cars, laying the foundations for Detroit Techno. Riding solo as both Model 500 and Infiniti, his interstellar vision of classic electro and techno propelled itself in hits like No UFO's, Night Drive and many many more. His projects with contemporaries like Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson (aka The Belleville Three) were responsible for not just a dazzling array of records, labels and aliases but the forging of a pivotal movement in modern music history.

We invite you for an up-close encounter with the legend himself, taking place at Sydney's cozy The Basement. Supported by a trio of Sydney's finest with Magda Bytnerowicz, Ben Fester and James Walsh, we look forward to sharing what will be an extraordinary evening on the dancefloor.
