Event Details

Harvey Russell and band return to the PBC to support the release of his latest single ‘Gave You Flowers’, with Simone East in support.

Harvey Russell has spent the last few years building a strong live presence on stages across Sydney’s Country/Americana scene with his band The Widowmakers (Aaron Langman – guitar/pedal steel, Jonathan Kelly - bass and Rich Burrows - drums).

Harvey returns to the Petersham Bowling Club for the first time since the release of his debut solo album, 'Liquid Damage', in August 2019 – and for the official launch of the fourth single from the album, the rollicking “Gave You Flowers”.

With a swag of tracks which have been well received both domestically and offshore, Harvey breathes new life into classic country sounds. Get along for some rockin' honky tonk with echoes of George Jones through to JP Harris.

The very talented Simone East will open the night.

Liquid Damage is a world-class album and Russell is a superlative song writer and singer” - Stuart Coupe, Rhythms Magazine Nov/Dec 2019
