La La La’s, Globe Lane, Wollongong

Dead Creek are a hard rockin’ originals band hailing from Wollongong, Dead Creek are a foot stomping mix of crunchy guitars, melodic vocals, driving bass lines and thumping percussion.

With their origins steeped in fuzzy riffology, melodic lead breaks and a rhythm section that fires on all cylinders, Dead Creek will always rock, regardless of the situation.

Fresh from their debut performance last year at Frankies, and a recent performances at La La La’s, The Heritage Hotel and The Polo in Canberra, Dead Creek have made a impactful statement to the Sydney, Canberra and Wollongong music scenes – ‘We’re here to rock!”.

Dead Creek are a quintessential blend of guitars, drums, bass and some rockin vocals!

Dead Creek will released their much anticipated first studio album in September 2023.

Joining the bill are Wollongong’s own, The Dark Clouds, The Escarpment, and Rawrus Tongue.

The Dark Clouds – The Dark Clouds are part Pit-bull, part Dachshund, The Dark Clouds may be a little long in the tooth but they still pack a pretty mean bite. Listing influences from Sonic's Rendezvous Band & The Dictators to Turbo Negro & Monster Magnet they describe their sound as somewhere between old school Proto-Punk & Aussie Pub Rock. Hailing from Wollongong, Australia; a town with a long pedigree for heavy rock these rock hounds have a dogged determination to keep the music they love alive . So if you like a little mongrel in your guitar rock, these guys are worth checking out.

The Escarpment – The Escarpment are a band that link urban disconnection, saltwater headspaces and twilight life affairs. They swell their sounds through the landscaped echoes of guitars, organ, bass and drums, coursing a new path well ridden but uniquely familiar. The Escarpment formed from fragments of punk rock ruins and features people from the Wollongong scene looking to forge a sound that's a little different. Drawing on an encyclopedia of home-grown influences and grittier influences from further afield, these guys have developed a sound that reflects the light and shadow of the environment they live in - somewhere between the mountains and the sea.

Rawrus Tongue – Rawrus Tongue are Wollongong’s favourite hot mess. Rowdy, raucous and outrageously rockin. Wild Man Bourneo and the Rawrus Tongue expansion to 4 piece is a sight for sore eyes. Bring your ear plugs, and get ready for a face lickin’.
