w' Phantom Island + Sascha Ion and The Elements

Cassis is launching their second studio album, “Riding on Clouds”. Produced, recorded and mixed by Elliot Smith at Sundown Studios, Perth in 2024.

The album is charged with the artistic output of the band’s unique sound. 

Cassis is musically a collective of heavily drenched funk synthesizer riffage, Euro-club sounds, art pop rock that is driven by “Nico-esque”, French poetica speak-sing vocals that are honest, seductive and melancholic. 

Their music wants you to listen but also to move and dance you.

The album reflects on the meaning of love and relationships, from a deep personal place to an imagined kind.

Cassis was formed in 2011 by vocalist Véronique Ramén and guitarist Jon Edwards. Initially an acoustic duo with roots in French speak-sing songs, the band transitioned to electric with the addition of drummer Warren Hall, bassist Seb Davidson and Keys Tim Newhouse.
