Hot on the heels of their return to the live scene, headlining last month's TEDxMacquarieUniversity, Buchanan are back with a brand new EP release and national tour.
The surprise EP 'Living a Lie' from the four-piece alt-indie outfit serves as a precursor to the band's forthcoming second studio album, which they've been meticulously crafting in London for the past 18 months.
Co-written and produced by legendary London producer Simon Duffy (Planet Funk - 'Chase The Sun') along with frontman Josh Simons, 'Living a Lie' reflects some of the more experimental, and perhaps more summery-upbeat tracks recorded during sessions for the band's second record and paves the way for an incredibly intimate and personal full-length effort.
In support of the release, the band will hit the road in February, headlining shows at The Workers Club in Melbourne, Greaser in Brisbane, Vic On The Park in Sydney, Moonshine in Manly and Rad Bar in Woolongong, as well as shows in additional cities to be announced soon.
Duffy commenced work with Buchanan following a string of high-profile projects including Leftfield, Mr Hudson and Dirty Vegas. His first collaboration with the band, 'Coming Down', received firm radio support throughout the UK and Ibiza and went on to debut at No. 29 on the Music Week (UK) Pop Charts. The band were also recently featured as a discovered artist on Apple Music.
'Living a Lie - EP' is being serviced to radio and online immediately and will be available to purchase Friday November 13 on iTunes and all good digital retailers.
