Born out of Sydney, Australia, BESTIES embody a generation of youth who’ve learnt to intersect with the world through the internet; creating nostalgic emo rock tinted with the subtle artfulness of contemporary hip-hop. In 2022, Producer and multi-instrumentalist, Nat Sherwood (Stand Atlantic, Sarah Saint James & Somber Hills) and vocalist, Max Pasalic (Up Late, After Touch) formalised their relentless musical curiosity and DIY values into a two-piece band, influenced by over a thousand hours of recording, producing and songwriting together.

Together the two would officially debut BESTIES in May with their winning entry into triple j’s coveted #DIYSupergroup competition. Following, BESTIES secured main rotation on triple j, a triple j unearthed feature artist nod and on air praise from artists like Holly Humberstone.

With national acclaim, BESTIES signed to powerhouse booking agency, WME in 2023 before performing their debut headliner to almost 200 punters and supporting Pop-Punk superstar, Maggie Lindemann on the Australian leg of her Suckerpunch world tour.

Armed with their own brand of crossover Pop-Punk, defined on their EP, “flare guns in the living room”, BESTIES return with "two wrongs" featuring Between You & Me — a soaring Emo ballad that feels akin to All Time Low and Neck Deep.
