Z.F.E.X meets AUSECUMA BEATS

Welcoming special guest appearances from Rara Zulu and Amadou Souso

Support from Elle Shimada ft. Co Dreamers

DJ: Solomon Charles, Energy Exchange DJ’s

Nine-piece West Africa-via-Naarm ensemble Ausecuma Beats and dance-floor focused, jazz-rave collective Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange, (aka Z*F*E*X) released their debut collaborative EP this year via Music in Exile. Z*F*E*X, now based between London, Berlin and Naarm, are returning this summer for a variety of shows accross the nation, debuting with this once off hometown headline.

Call it a match made somewhere in musical heaven, the minds behind Ausecuma Beats, comprised of members from Senegal, Mali, Cuba and Guinea, found they melded easily with Z*F*E*X following weeks of recording and sharing material remotely together.

This is a very exciting and critical moment in the musical landscape of the city as these cultures meet in the flesh for an exclusive Naarm show creating something truly innovative and unique.

We acknowledge that this event will be held on Wurundjeri land of the Kulin Nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
