A great night of local indie folk at Lowlife basement bar!

Wake in Fright is an Adelaide band like no other. Offering a hypnotic fusion of folk, jazz and indie rock, the band presents a unique and eclectic musical experience. Wake in Fright is helmed by songwriter and vocalist, Sam Wilson and includes drummer Jachin Mee, keyboardist Serena Cristoforo, bassist Aden Quinn, and saxophonist Brandon Bartholomeusz.

Eyrie is an indie folk band making music on Kaurna land. Comprised of sister duo Clara and Miranda Gillam Grant, violinist Thea Martin and double bassist Allan McBean, they hope to bring the storytelling tradition of folk to the Adelaide music scene. Eyrie has played with the likes of local folk heroes including Bromham, Jess Johns and Ricky Albeck and the Belair Line Band, and they are excited to play with more wonderful artists in 2022.

Quebec Echo makes pop music that inspires nostalgia - infusing vintage grooves with inventive, bursting melodies to tell wide-eyed, forlorn stories. Hailing from Tarndanya, Australia, they combine the songwriting sensibilities of 1960s chamber pop with the eclectic approach of late 90s indie, infused with their colourful sonic landscapes and packed with vivid imagery. While their debut album Not The Lark (2021) was a keyboard-driven collection of tracks in the vein of Queen or Ben Folds, their upcoming sophomore record explores guitar textures inspired by the likes of Yo La Tengo and David Bowie; a tender collection entitled Pretend They're All For You.
