The Chicago based VEIL OF MAYA encompasses the good old American blue collar work ethic and have definitely taken the hard road to success grinding it out on the road through countless tours over the years, but now that backbreaking schedule is paying off tenfold. This quartet are one of the few very bands that can authentically mix elements of progressive metal, melodic death metal, thrash and hardcore brutality together effectively, all while keeping the listener constantly interested with baited breath wondering just what is coming next. This is exactly why they will have a career for years to come.

Support comes from Newcastle metal titans THE STORM PICTURESQUE, who are gearing up to release their debut album Arrival. The release marks the coming of age for the band as they carve their legacy into the Australian metal scene, further cementing their place at the forefront of the progressive metal movement. Arrival is a  groove laden, forward-thinking concept album that is as heavy as it is atmospheric, while never compromising one for the other.

Last but not least is one of the youngest Sydney act STORIES. Since forming in 2010, Stories has continued to shock live audiences and has been compared to some of Sydney's heaviest bands in the metal/hardcore scene. Having gained massive local support, they have had the opportunity to share the stage with many big Australian names including Thy Art is Murder, Confession, Northlane and Dream on Dreamer. Kicking off 2012 strong, they will hit the stage playing to new audiences all over Australia on their first tour supporting US giants Veil of Maya. Stories will continue to prove themselves one of Australia's up and coming bands to keep an eye on through their brutal live performance and eagerly awaited debut EP, released in the first half of the year.
