Finally, after patiently battling the current plague, the band will be launching their latest EP "Forbidden City" at the Crown and Anchor on Friday, September 16th with Descend to Acheron and fast-rising upstarts, Impetus.

“The Forbidden City itself — A punch-heavy blast of everything that has made this band something else since 2003. Insane battery, technical but-approachable complexity, and a much lighter use of synth guitar tones to adorn their brutality with Japanese influenced leitmotif" - Grizzly Butts

"There is really only one word I can use to describe this release: Raw. The voice, sitting in the lower registers is raw. The guitar playing is frantic and raw, the bass pierces the lower end and is raw and the drums, probably the most amazing part of the release, is, you guessed it, damn raw! There are elements of clean or even melodic sections that give terrific nods to the Eastern focus this band has and gets close to pushing this band into the Australian post-metal genre (which wouldn’t be disappointing to a fan like me)." - Metal Roos

"Overall, I recommend this album to death metal fans. Though TZUN TZU says that they play “ancient oriental death metal,” their music on this EP isn’t overly melodic or symphonic. They could have easily gone overboard with the Asian-inspired melodies, but I am glad they didn’t. It is difficult to strike a balance between mimicry and an inspired musical composition, but TZUN TZU seems to have accomplished a good balance." - Metal Temple
