Collaboratively led, Trio Access showcases the compositional and improvisational talents of members Luke Drohan (Electric and Acoustic Piano), James Lockwood (Upright Bass and Contrabass Guitar), and Paul Whitwood (Percussion).

The Trio Access ‘Acoustic Band’ leans into the modern tradition of piano trios, featuring repertoire drawn from or inspired by the Tristano School, the trios of Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, and Brad Meldau, and the post-modern approaches of the Wayne Shorter Quartet. This group presents a unique and personalised approach to mainstream jazz which emphasises the best of the tradition whilst reflecting a contemporary approach to the genre.
