Event Details

Vietnamese American powerhouse thuy will tour Australia for the first time, ever. She will be doing intimate headline shows across Sydney and Melbourne while she’s here for Souled Out Fest.

Growing up in the Bay Area, thuy is a Vietnamese American singer-songwriter with a leaning towards R&B. Having grown up around music, she was highly inspired by the golden 90’s era of R&B, and began to take music as a career seriously upon winning the Home Turf Competition for 106 KMEL with her song, “Hands On Me,” in 2015. Since then, she’s released several more singles, including “Universe” which has 26 million streams on Spotify. thuy’s latest album, “Girls like me don’t cry”, was released in October of 2022, with a title track by the same name, which went viral on TikTok throughout the summer of 2023. Accompanying her projects, the young starlet has cemented her place in mainstream R&B and on the global stage with sold out UK and European headline tours in October 2023, sold out homecoming headline show at San Fransisco’s Warfield Theatre in December 2023, and major upcoming festival billings such as Coachella, Head in The Clouds NY.

We acknowledge that this event will be held on Wurundjeri land of the Kulin Nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
