In March 2009 Thousand Needles In Red was born. Tristan Bouillaut and Clint Boge began writing and designing the music that was to become their vision.

Thank heavens for Skype! With guitarist Tristan 'Trizo' Bouillaut based in Sydney and singer Clint Boge in Brisbane, Thousand Needles In Red songs mostly come together online. Not that has affected the palpable chemistry in the music. Their self-titled 7-track EP from early 2010 raised eyebrows in the way it was both levitating and gut-level. Thousand Needles In Red found a whole new-excited audience waiting when they hit the road behind the record.

Now with their new single Into Eternity, Thousand Needles In Red tear up the canvas. The sentiments and vocals are melancholic but it hits hard, with thundering drums and crashing guitars, which uplift the anthemic chorus.

The production was by Tea Party frontman Jeff Martin who also contributed
12 string acoustic guitar and piano to the track.

Working with Martin was mind-blowing for Bouillaut and Boge. Both had been huge fans of Tea Party.

Trizo: I was excited to know Jeff was coming on board this track. We really wanted a musicians musician to take care of business on this. He produced from a musicians and a listeners perspective. He threw all his cards down on this one. He made me use some unique tunings. I used five different guitars on the track which was different for me!!

Clint: Listening to the Tea Party for a great deal of my life was inspirational enough. But actually having Jeff the man behind the music standing in front of me and to know that he liked our music was a real privilege.

Into Eternity says Trizo, is pretty close to my heart. It is about the conversation my dad had with my godfather just before he died. He recalled how due to his fathers illness, his eyes had to be sowed shut as his tear ducts stopped working. The music practically wrote itself. I didnt feel like I was on my own for this process. I sent Clint the music and told him the story. Clint translated my story into some incredible and very moving lyrics.

Clint too felt someones guiding hand for his role in Into Eternity. I was driving home listening to the music when the lyrics just fell into place not just a line or two but the whole song. It really felt as though they were written for me or handed to me in some way. I even thanked Trizs dad for the lyrics.

Thousand Needles In Red will tour Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria in March behind Into Eternity.

"Just when I begin to wonder if there's a chance that some music will come along that I could possibly lend a hand or a heart towards, the stars do conspire. To say the least, I was humbled when Tristan and Clint asked me to produce the single " into eternity ". Integrity through action means everything,.. you need to have lived it. The story of the song, as it was explained to me, brought tears to my eyes and yet made me smile. How is that possible? This song, this emotive statement that TNIR have achieved, it will transcend genres. I believe in these gentlemen and their addiction to integrity is intoxicating. As far as rock and roll is concerned, what else matters..."
