On August 23rd, Sydney's Favourite Alternative Rock band The Dead Love launch their long awaited and much anticipated debut album 'Transitions' at Oxford Art Factory.
The album was recorded in Austin Texas with producer Chris 'Frenchie' Smith (Jet, The Dandy Warhols, The Datsuns) and mixed in the UK by Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Karnivool) and features singles 'This is a War' and 'The Desert Sun'.
Having extensively toured Australia and received airplay on Triple J, FBI and strong support from community stations across the country, the band is taking their live show to the next level. The band will be performing 'Transitions' start to finish, a unique performance with additional horn players, backing singers and a few other surprises!
"The three piece boast a harder and grunge influenced sound. These Sydney based dudes definitely flexed their guitar muscles with ease and it was a pleasure to watch them do their thing on stage. With such high quality acts from local bands such as these, one would think there would be no question as to whether there should be more venues open for live music in Sydney." - The Music
"The Dead Love have that aged and experienced sound that most bands take years to develop...Our hopes are high that more bands like this can save our dying live music industry" - Blunt Magazine
"I heard many good things about this band before tonight, but I felt that hardly anything I was told did this awesome live performance any justice. This bands is high energy, four on the floor hard rock that are quite a force to be reckoned with" - Sludge Factory
