The Billy Joels move Upstairs

Saturday Arvo -  10 September 22

If the idea of a couple of great Melbourne entertainers getting together in front of a smoking band and mucking around with one of the most beloved song catalogues of all time sounds like a whole mess o’ fun to you, then may we introduce

The Billy Joels.

Led by Casey Bennetto (Keating!) and Scott Edgar (Tripod), the Billy Joels is a ramblin’ jamalong that imagines your drunk dad getting out his guitar in the wee hours of a party at your auntie's place - if your drunk dad was five people who had a lifetime of showbiz pedigree and could seriously bring the soul. (Because that’s the other thing; it’s time to finally admit that Billy Joel is one of the great unsung R&B pioneers. Come on, we all know it.)

If you love Billy Joel songs, this show is for you. If you want to see Billy Joel songs cut into pieces and run up a flagpole in the town square, well this show is also for you, actually. If you just like great musos bringing the party, guess what. Yup.

The Billy Joels are:

Scott Edgar- Vocal, electric guitar

Casey Bennetto - Vocal, acoustic guitar

Enio Pozzebon- Keys & Vocals

Tam Murphy - Electric Bass & Vocals

Mark Leahy - Drums & Vocals

We might be laughing a bit too loud, but that never hurt no-one
