This event is being run by Tyler Fuller. In 2020, Tyler fell off a cliff and sustained a traumatic brain injury. He was in a coma for 19 days and underwent many months of rehabilitation. As a result, Tyler has become a fundraiser for the Neurosurgical Research Foundation, which focuses on brain research.

The aim of the gig is to raise funds for traumatic brain injury research, promote traumatic brain injury awareness, and promote the bands. The name ‘The Big Gig’ was named after Tyler’s Papa, Allen, also known as ‘Gig’. This gig event name was created by Tyler’s Pa, who hosted the first ‘The Big Gig’ in Kadina, 2013.

The setlist consists of 3 local bands and a DJ:

1. Paul & Jordan 

Paul Vallen has been a part of the Adelaide music scene for over 25 years. He is a former member of the late 90s band ‘The Trims’. Nowadays he can be found playing all the classics with his best mates around Adelaide and the Fleurieu peninsula. Paul and his acquaintance, Jordan, regularly perform together as a duo at many different public settings around Adelaide.

1. Wingfield 

Formed on Kaurna land, Wingfield started its life as a band of like-minded musicians that love classic rock music! Since then, we have explored the local scene, released a single and had a blast along the way! @wingfieldband

1. The Closing 

The Closing are an up and coming alternative rock band from Adelaide, through living on the same street for years and being lifelong friends they are making their impact on the Adelaide music scene. Their shared love for music and performance is emphasised throughout their personal music and live shows, in which they look to reintroduce the audience to rock music in a contemporary fashion. @theclosingband
