Funky jazz

A great funky jazz show featuring some of Sydney’s best with Steve Sedergreen - one of Melbourne’s leading jazz identities. 

Steve is one of Melbourne’s leading jazz pianists and renowned for collaborating with like-minded musicians who always bring a special joy and energy to every show. His career spans decades, multiple recordings (his outfit Mistaken Identity scored an APRA nomination), and countless performances at clubs and festivals around the country. He is also well-known as an inspirational teacher and mentor, his most successful protégées members of The Cat Empire. 

Steve and his ensemble will be joined by two very special guest vocalist Axle Whitehead

Axle Whitehead is a brilliant performer, TV presenter and actor both here and in the US.  But it’s music where his heart really lies and when on stage with Steve their fabulous chemistry from years of playing together always delivers. 

Steve, Axle & Pat will be joined by Dan Barnett - trombone,  James Ryan - saxophone, Brendan Clarke - bass, and Matt Simmons / Andrew Dickeson - drums
