SOLD OUT - Birds Of Tokyo 'Good Lord Tour'
After selling out multiple dates on their September “Good Lord Tour", due to popular demand Birds of Tokyo have announced additional shows to the tour, including Waves Wollongong, Saturday 28th September. All the new gig info is detailed below and tickets are on sale now.
In other good news for the band “Good Lord” will be certified gold on next week’s ARIA singles chart. The breakup anthem is already one of the most played songs on Australian radio proving that there’s still some space on the commercial airwaves for electric guitars and real drums. The track is also climbing the streaming charts having been ensconced in Spotify’s Viral top 10 for the last few weeks.
It’s been more than a decade since Birds Of Tokyo first formed in Perth and released their first few indie albums. Over the years since then they've enjoyed 16 APRA Award nominations - more than any other band- and 11 of their songs have made the Triple Hottest 100. However, this is their first gold single since 2015’s “I’d Go With You Anywhere” - reflecting the change since streaming came to dominate the ARIA Charts. Last week Birds Of Tokyo was one of only four Australian artists to feature in the national top 40 singles.
The "Good Lord Tour" is proudly presented by Channel [V]. Fans are strongly advised to only buy tickets for this show via moshtix and to avoid ticket reselling websites which can sometimes lead to rip-offs.
