Sirens Big Band, Sydney's 17-piece all-female powerhouse, return to the Basement to launch their debut album, Kali and the Time of Change.

Recorded at ABC studios in late 2012, the album brings together the band's eclectic, grooving and infectious sounds onto one exciting CD.

With a host of some of Australia's strongest and most exciting young female musicians and improvisers, the band perform engaging danceable big band music that mixes jazz with South Indian, afro-beat, Balkan, Ethiopian and reggae influences.

Sirens have worked with Australian artists Lanie Lane, Jeff Duff and Dan Barnett, as well as supporting Royal Crown Revue and Orkestra del Sol. They have appeared as the house band for Sydney Festival's highly successful Trocadero Dance Palace, both in 2011 and again in 2012 on Festival First Night, and have been artists in residence at the prestigious Bundanon Trust program.

The Sirens drew a huge crowd at their Basement debut last year so book early to avoid disappointment!

At the door if available: $20

Dinner & Show tickets: $69.80 per person
Dinner & Show tickets include entry, seating and a 2 course meal
(entree & main, 4 choices for each).

Dinner & Show tickets are only available by phone.

When General Admission Ticket sales have closed on the day of the show (5pm) they may still be available at the door on the night. Additionally dinner and show tickets may also be available.
