Ruby Gill takes you bird watching

When she’s not working her gross corporate job or playing music, Ruby Gill is watching birds. She’s seen 460 species around the world now (and counting), and the hobby quite literally got her through isolation. So this month, in lieu of gigs, join the South African singer-songwriter for a spot of virtual bird nerdery.

All you need is a nest for half an hour (Ruby will be in her local park, but even your garden or looking out your window will do). You’ll spend 30 minutes together spotting, identifying and talking about the avian creatures that fill our skies each day.

Ruby will have some great ornithological facts and songs about birds on hand in case the pigeons don't arrive. Afterwards, you'll be obsessed! You may even start an excel spreadsheet. Who knows. Best thing? You can do it alone. Just you and your phone and the birds.
