BOILER ROOM RETURNS TO MELBOURNE FOR A RHYTHM SECTION TAKEOVER IN NOVEMBER THE NIGHT CAT - MELBOURNE – NOVEMBER 25 2016

Undisputed home of underground music, Boiler Room today announces a Rhythm Section International takeover will be coming to Melbourne, broadcast live from Melbourne's Night Cat on November 25.

This one-off ticketed event, in collaboration with Melbourne booking, touring and management agency Heads with Tales, will see the Bradley Zero-founded London label and twice-monthly, vinyl-only party series, turn up in Melbourne - rising up for an unforgettable evening with some of Australia, New Zealand and the UK's greatest genre-bending talent and label alumni.

One of Boiler Room's original hosts, Bradley Zero started Rhythm Section as a radio show in 2009, which now extends to a renowned vinyl-only dance party from a pool hall in London's Peckham. There's never a headliner, nor set times - a foundation Zero holds tightly.

Performing alongside Bradley will be some of the label's diverse roster, including underground heroes Chaos in the CBD. The New Zealand brothers take their place on the lineup after eight years of bringing their historical continuum of dance classics to the stage. After relocating to London, the pair have released a string of records, including the well-loved 12-inches Invisible Spectrum and Midnight in Peckham.

Joining them, hot on the release of his latest Freedom Jazz Dance EP, is Melbournian DJ Prequel. Backed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Osunlade, Lefto, Ben UFO and other well-respected industry figureheads, fans can expect a Detroit house inspired set, complete with Prequel's uniquely jazz and contemporary inspired originals.

Fellow label mates, Silent Jay & Jace XL are next to join the bill. For those unfamiliar with Hiatus Kaiyote vocalist (Jace XL) and producer (Silent Jay), the duo's collaboration is a unique strain of future sounds, rooted in retro-r&b. Their sold-out Sacrifice EP sits on heavy repeat for many across the globe.

Following the success of their 2015 debut Cold Ridish Coma LP, Melbourne outfit 30/70 proudly join the party. The hip-hop, R&B inspired family have been laying their hypnotic grooves laced with love, meditation and spirituality all over the world.

Sydney act Retiree received love from the likes of The Fader and i-D for their EP This Place, and will step up to the livestream in November. Their current single "Continental" follows the trio's unique disco dance beat - a result of varied musical tastes making strongly rhythmic and emotional music.

Now in its third year, Heads With Tales has placed a strong emphasis on building and showcasing independent emerging artists that span a range of musical genres - from Lucy Clich to Al Dobson Jr, Babicka, Mall Grab and Rhythm Section's own Bradley Zero.

Evolving from the UK's rich pirate radio heritage, Boiler Room has grown from a webcam taped on a warehouse wall to become the definitive showcase of new music worldwide. In just five years Boiler Room has weaved itself into the fabric of dance music culture, boasting an envious back catalogue of live sets from the likes of Jamie XX, Thom Yorke, Chet Faker, Richie Hawtin and ?uestlove.

Don't miss the first Rhythm Section International takeover on Boiler Room, broadcasted worldwide from Melbourne's Night Cat on November 25.
