QUEERSTORIES (OCT 31)
Sign up for event updates
Join a diverse line up of stars and strangers for a night of queer stories, unexpected tales of lives well lived and battles fought, pride, prejudice, love and humour, hosted by Maeve Marsden. The LGBTQIA community has been sharing stories for centuries, creating our own histories, disrupting and reinventing conventional ideas about narrative, family and community. There's so much more to being queer than coming out and getting married.
Funny, moving, surprising and engaging, Queerstories has been selling out shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, bringing storytellers from all walks of life to the stage. Winner of Best Spoken Word at Sydney Fringe Festival 2016, with a book of the stories published by Hachette and a fantastic podcast, Queerstories is fast becoming a community institution.
This event is Auslan interpreted.
