Lee Rous and Andy Gardner have been performing and producing together since the late 1990s. They began as avid pioneers of diverse electronic music, smashing into the early breaks scene and delivering absolutely iconic albums A Plump Night Out, Eargasm and Saturday Night Lotion. Albums so huge in their own right we could almost finish this up right here no need to say anymore.

But we wont stop; cos the boys have evolved, keeping the electro, house and bass music fields supplied with their ever-changing, yet equally carb-laden, beats.

The change really came in 2008 after the release of Headthrash. They took the opportunity to rebrand their Eargasm residency at Fabric (to Headthrash) and add the four-deck live DJ show, which they showcased at Glastonbury, Coachella (one of the only breakbeat artists to have ever performed at the US uber-fest) and even here in P-town.

So where is their sound now? Get acquainted with Grand Hotel Records (their own imprint). A platform through which to not only release their own productions, Grand Hotel will showcase work from their endless list of collaborators and protgs.

In between the release of recent Grand Hotel tracks, including Boomer and Light Fantastic, Plump DJs have just dropped their new single Gobstopper (also known as Gobbstopper).

And like an everlasting candy from Willy Wonka, Plump DJs show no signs of stopping.
