For the uninitiated Underground Resistance was started by Detroit second-wave trinity Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, and Mike Banks in 1990 and has become an enduring representation of techno futurism. UR’s sound is dynamic, encompassing techno, electro, house, soul, and everything in between. Three decades and a growing cast of operatives later UR is still as vibrant, disruptive and essential to the present-day world musical map as ever and we’ll bear witness to this via the Assault Squad DJ’s monumental set.

For our next guest we look to the east and welcome back another artist with long and unique history; one of our favourite producers and DJs Kuniyuki Takahashi, who'll be playing live for us!

Although he’s been making and releasing music since the 80s - including under the aliases Koss, Frr Hive, and Forth - Kuni has spent a good part of his career as one of Japan’s best-kept secrets. In the last decade, however, he has emerged as one of the world’s most revered electronic artists. In part thanks to a huge volume of releases on Mule Musiq and countless collaborations with the likes of Joe Claussell, DJ Nature, Henrik Schwarz, and recently Sleep D.

Leaning into the heavier side of the night is none other than hometown favourite, Assembler Code, joining us again with his gritty and large sounding live set. Since breaking onto the scene in 2017 - Assembler Code has uploaded an unstoppable run of sold-out releases on labels such as Mechatronica, Cultivated Electronics, Censor, Central Processing Unit as well as his own label International Chrome (run with Jensen Interceptor). On stage, AC delivers a hard-hitting live set delivering a range of sonics from electro, bass, and breaks to hard-hitting techno all at maximum transfer speed, straight to the minds on the dance floor.

Last but not least we’re stoked to welcome back gillielove; an Eora-based music enthusiast and selector with a deep affinity for club culture, experimental sounds, and emotional soundtracking. Expect diverse selections with feels. In the mean time you can catch Gillie hosting a home listening show titled ‘Off Duty’ that invites guests to share an eclectic range of sounds, episodes air Saturdays 2-4pm EST monthly on Nomad radio, or Morning Notes on FBi Radio every Sunday.

We’ve hosted all these acts at different spots and we're beside ourselves to host them all under one roof at Oxford Art Factory one of the all time fave venues.
