Retro surf / Country funk

Papa Surf’s debut single “Monster Surf” made the top ten ranking in the Official Surf Charts in 2021.  Now the band is ready and raring to surf the live scene with a launch at Lazybones, bringing you all the retro surf classics, originals and new arrangements.  Papa Surf is a Sydney based surf rock band formed by guitarist Andy Scott (ScotFree, Nardo) and drummer extraordinaire Matt Moore (Gris Gris Combo, Petulant Frenzy) are joined by veteran players Ian Chisholm on bass (Blues Collective) and Craig Corcoran on guitar (Dead Horse Gap Band)
 
Amy Freeman is returning to the stage with a full band, first time since her 2018 album release Tama Sessions.  On a quest to expose the world to the Country Funk style, her originals allude to classic bands from the late 60s and 70s bringing forth a mix of Blues, Country and Soul. Luke Gerber (Slippery Gypseas) will be opening the evening with his sultry Vocals and Trombone, presenting a few new originals and some select covers to set the Lazybones vibe. Accompanied by his friend of 32 years Daniel Stevenson on keys
