At age 3 osh10 (pronounced osh-ten and the pseudonym for electronica musician Aimee Chapman) decided she hated pumpkin with a furious passion. However a few decades later when fronted with a bowl of the most magnificent pumpkin soup, osh10 decided to reconcile herself to the rogue root vegetable and everything has been coming up pumpkin pie since.

The pumpkin reunion signified the start of necessary upheaval for this trip-hop loving lady and prompted the making of her new album One Hundred to the Ground. During the writing of her latest collection of songs she was hit by a bus, had her heart annihilated, and then stitched back together, lost her voice almost permanently to the hands of nerve damage, appeared on a stage in Singapore in an animal suit, learnt another language, visited the deadly blokes and kids of the remote Kimberley region, drank vast amounts of coffee, op-shopped to the point of being able to open her own op-shop, and danced like it was 2000 which was the year she still had the vivacity to do so. It is this whirlwind of change and emotion that entwines the 10 songs on the new album. From the quietest clicks, pops and confessional melodies to seriously fat beats, funked up bass and jazz influenced grrr, osh10 and her band have slain One Hundred to the Ground in order to bring the trip-hop, electronic, dub and pop world of osh10 to The Toff on Tuesday 19 July for the official Melbourne album launch.
