Jamilla

Jamilla combines haunting soul vocals, self-produced R&B beats and chill-wave synths to create a beautiful and seamless brand of nu-soul music. With an intense and captivating stage presence and emotive and politically charged lyrics, Jamilla expresses her appreciation for human vulnerability and invites you to experience hers.

In her short time performing music, Jamilla has already landed support spots for some of Perth's finest including Stella Donnelly, Demon Days and Abbe May and National supports for Alex The Astronaut , Mojo Juju, Tijuana Cartel and 30/70. Her debut single "Beautiful" was launched in April of 2018 to a sold out show. In September of 2018 Jamilla released her sophomore single "King" which was joined by her debut National Australian Tour. During the same year Jamilla also racked up an impressive 4 nominations for the 2018 WAM Awards.

In 2019 Jamilla will return with new material, more touring and some exciting collaborations.

TIMOTHY NELSON

Over the past decade, Timothy Nelson has established himself as one of Perth's premier songwriters. Though his career has twisted and turned, both in style and in subject, from fronting Timothy Nelson & The Infidels and High Horse, earning multiple WAMI's, to moonlighting in The Kill Devils Hills performing in bands alongside the likes of Liz Stringer and Melody Pool - it is solo, where Nelson's always been driven to go.

Following the award winning, pop extravaganza of his Infidels' second album 'Terror Terror, Hide It Hide It', Nelson released his solo debut 'Words Like Young' in 2016, solidifying his status as one of Australia's most promising songwriters, with TheMusic.com.au declaring it "a brilliant solo debut." The album spawned multiple tours across Australia, Japan and the USA.

The second half of 2018 serves as a developmental period whilst Nelson hones his craft in preparation for his sophomore album which is penned for release in 2019.

"Welcome to Timothy Nelson's world. Trips out, half-baked in his half-broken-down van, break up the days of Perth suburban day-dreaming, where fantasies of the unobtainable - love or luxurious overseas trips - slide side-by-side next to strict self-analysis, the expected introspective result of reflective hours."

- Rolling Stone Australia
