Why do bands split up? There are any numbers of reasons why bands break up, but the big question is Why do they reform? In the case of NICK BARKER & THE REPTILES, it is because they were one of the best rock and roll bar bands of their era and they are even better now. After reforming to play a charity gig at the infamous Community Cup, the guys realised that they not only still had IT, but had it in spades. Unlike other bands, none of the original members of THE REPTILES stopped playing music! So rather than a bunch of crusty old accountants and plumbers creaking away on gear thats been under the house for an eon, you have a bona-fide group of musicians reforming forwait for itFUN. They havent been offered wheelbarrows full of cash to play, instead they doing because they can and they want to. And they are doing it where it all started, in suburban and regional PUBS!!!!!!

NICK BARKER & THE REPTILES came to prominence in the late 80s/early 90s when their cover of Cockney Rebel's "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)" reached the top 30 on the ARIA Singles Chart in November 1989. They had two top 40 albums on the related ARIA Albums Chart, Goin' to Pieces (1989) and After the Show (1991). During that period the band toured relentlessly, playing over 200 shows a year, year in, year out. Now NICK BARKER & THE REPTILES are taking Pub Rock back to the punters.
