On October 24, Mr. McClelland and friends are bringing the party to Fitzroy’s iconic Night Cat for the first time to celebrate their 17th Birthday!

For nearly two decades, lead DJ Andrew McClelland has brought party as part of Melbourne’s longest running indie-pop nights, and on October 24 we’re celebrating by putting on the sort of gig he would have wanted to sneak into when he was 17…

We’re excited to welcome special guests Plagiarism Begins At Home, Australia's premier Smiths cover band, and Australia’s original & best live Oasis tribute, Shakerfaker, who will both be playing sets as part of the evening’s entertainments.

Then Mr. McClelland will rock out with his signature mix of indie, pop, rock, soul and smooth dance moves that he’s famous for.

Somehow missed out on the party we’ve been having since 2008? Well… Mr. McClelland's Finishing School is a celebrated night of dancing to pop music. And that means all kinds of pop music.

From The Smiths to The Supremes, from Weezer to Whitney Houston, from Belle & Sebastian to The Beatles, from Pulp to Prince, from James Brown to Joy Division, from Rage Against the Machine to Run DMC, from The Spice Girls to The Smashing Pumpkins… It's all for dancing.
