Mother Culture are a 5 piece Alternative Pop Rock band hailing from across the South-East suburbs of Melbourne. Formed from the remains of singer/songwriter Darcy Ward's previous band Mother Culture's sound seamlessly blends the sounds of late 60's and early 70's Pop and Psychedelic-Rock with the attitude and experimentation of 90's Alternative-Rock. Drawing inspiration from acts such as The Beatles, David Bowie, Radiohead, Blur and The Flaming Lips these lads are well versed in great songwriting and all that is rock'n'roll. After gigging all around the Melbourne pub and club scene throughout 2012 the band are releasing their debut single 'Bedside Slowdance' in November and are currently hard at work in the studio preparing for their first E.P. set to release sometime in early 2019.
