Hawaii's epic talent Mike Love visits Brisbane with percussionist Sam Ites as part of their worldwide 'The Great Remembering' tour.

With a foundation rooted in the spirituality and message-based music of Reggae and Rastafari, Mike draws on many musical genres, including reggae, folk, blues, flamenco, jazz and R&B, to create a style uniquely his own. His live show uses live looping, effects pedals and a hybrid acoustic/electric drum kit; nothing is pre-recorded - everything is performed and recorded on the spot, which keeps the show constantly evolving and always exciting. His song 'Permanent Holiday' is a great example of his unique style, and has reached almost 15 million views on Youtube.

Mike has shared the stage with artists such as Michael Franti, Trevor Hall, Nahko and Medicine For The People, Xavier Rudd, Rebelution, John Butler Trio, Groundation, Steel Pulse, Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson.

After touring the world non-stop as the renowned violinist for American band Nahko and Medicine for the People, Tim Snider is taking advantage of a break in the band's schedule to do some shows of his own. Tim not only plays violin but loops guitar, percussion, and vocals into a sound that has been described as a "world-folk hybrid, aimed at the heart the head and the feet." His individual style of world folk and conscience rock will leave you dancing with a new sense of purpose. As well as Mullumbimby and Queenscliff Festival performances, Tim will be supporting Mike Love on several of his east coast shows this November. Don't miss this special and rare opportunity to see a different side of this man behind the medicine.

"Irresistible, meticulous song-craft " - Guitar Wold - Acoustic Nation

"Defies geographical categorization... but its appeal is undeniable" - Something else

"They bounce [the crowd], sway and dance as a single collective with the majority so in the moment that Rome could burn down around them and they'd still focus on Tim Snider's violin playing!"  - My Global Mind (London)

"Globe-spanning sounds that incorporate his classical chops as well as a multitude of life experiences. A child violin prodigy, Snider has decades of material under his belt, finding his bread and butter within the jam worlds. Yet it's his quieter moments as a songwriter that stand out and are worth considering." - Portland Mercury

"Unbridled energy, intensity, and musical eclecticism. Tim Snider plays and loops the electric violin, guitar, cajon, and vocals creating aural landscapes that are forceful, confessional, and raw."  - Reno Tahoe Tonight
