After a year out of the spotlight, Martha Chess Phelps, (previously just ‘Martha’) is back with a bang!

Embracing her full name and her full self with the upcoming release Sleep Too Much – an ode to brutal honesty and owning every part of yourself. Even the embarrassing stuff.

Martha Chess Phelps is an indie folk/rock singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from inner Sydney. Honest lyrics and folk-influenced vocals intertwine with a distinct rock flair. Though still young, Martha has been around some years now, playing throughout Sydney and alongside many big Aus music names.

Along with her killer band, Martha Chess Phelps celebrates her new single release at Waywards (Newtown) on Friday 12th April. Come along for a night of fresh indie music!

Supported by special guests and mates Lindsey and Eva Diana.

Lindsey is a band from Eora/Sydney forging a new sound in Queer pop-indie-rock.

From their debut self-produced album “A Collection of Deceptions”, what was once ‘Abbey Lindsey’ has become ‘Lindsey’ championing a new found freedom in their queer identity.

Channeling their discoXrockabilly charm into their music, Lindsey- now a band, has become a force to be reckoned with and are on the move to release their anticipated second album later this year.

Eva Diana started learning guitar at age 10 and began to write her own songs soon after. Her music is a mix of pop, folk and singer-songwriter genres and she is heavily influenced by the Americana scene in the U.S., combining country and rock to tell unique stories.

Eva is currently based in Sydney where she has recently completed studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, which has helped her explore different ways of making music and expanded her song-writing and production skills. Prior to this, she grew up by the beach where she developed her performance skills and a deep appreciation for the environment.

Last year she performed at the Vanguard where she captivated audiences with her stage presence and musical experimentation with guitar. Since then, Eva has performed numerous times at other venues in Sydney and her current focus is on recording and releasing original music.
